The signs and symptoms of being over- or underweight
Overweight
Being overweight has various risks associated with your health and wellbeing. When overweight you may find that you become out of breath easily, have poorer range of motion, are more prone to anxiety or depression, are more easily overheated, or find it difficult to fit into your clothes. You are more likely to have less colour on your plate (less variety of foods), have disrupted sleep, and have less exposure to nature and vitamin D.
Underweight
Being underweight comes with its own unique challenges and health risks. When underweight you are more likely to experience feeling cold, have hairier arms, and a poor relationship with food. You can also be more prone to mental health disorders, issues with digestion, musculo-skeletal issues, body dysmorphia, and experience neurodivergence.

At Holistic Health, Step by Step we won’t offer quick fixes or fad diets. Using clinical and lived experience as well as evidence-based approaches we will meet you where you are and build your journey to meet your needs.
Our weight-loss programme is typically offered for a minimum period of 3 -months in a group setting. This allows for us to work together to build a support network and tackle the barriers to improving your health.

We can offer support if you are using weight loss medications to support you. We can offer guidance to minimise the incidence of side-effects and increase your energy levels as you reach your maintenance dose.
